Small backyard and garden design ideas come in handy nowadays because homes are so expensive. In many cases, you may not have the luxury of having a large garden in your backyard.

Relaxing Jacuzzi Garden
Wouldn’t it be great to be able relax outside your home and not have to go to a spa to do so?
Here’s one way to do it, especially if you have a small space in your yard you don’t know what to do with.
Just like the garden shed above, your jacuzzi need not be stand alone. In the photo, you can see the lovely natural design surrounding it.
Resort Style Backyard Garden
In case you feel a jacuzzi may be a bit much, why not recreate your favorite resort in your own backyard.
This lovely design creates a sprawling space of pillows and lounge chairs where you can just enjoy and relax by yourself, with friends or family.
Vertical Wooden Container Garden
Vertical gardens are a great small backyard design ideas because they increase the amount of space you have.
While they take up a bit of room (often to the sides), they vertical design allows them to hold a variety of plants which lets you create garden with space you otherwise may not have.
Urban Jungle Backyard Garden
Another great idea to make use of overhead space is to create a jungle landscape. This involves a few tall shrubs, vines and small trees.
All of which take up small floor space but branch out overhead instead.
This give you a added dimension while still leaving you a lot of room in the garden.
Private Backyard Patio
Patios are amazing design for any backyard because they let you enjoy quality time with your loved ones.
Plus, you can create small patios that are cozy and comfortable as well. All you need are a few comfortable chairs, a table and some space to entertain.
Shrubs and Bushes Seating
Shrubs give gardens a lot of texture and dimension. And, you can use them to section off parts of your garden as well.

Inclines, slopes and submerged spaces are often hard to decorate or design for because of the landscape issues.
As such, it is important to asses the space and see the best way you cans set up your backyard or garden.
In this case, there’s a lovely patio at the bottom of the sloped yard. And, the incline is used to grow different plants to build a lovely backdrop.

Urban Getaway
Living in the city can get tedious. And, it would be great to have a tiny getaway in your garden where you can go to connect with nature.
This gives you the ability leave your stresses even for just 15 or so minutes. If definitely beats driving out to the country or somewhere outside the city especially when you’re crunched on time or have a hectic schedule.
