Hoya Plants

The Hoya is a genus that it composed of more than 500 accepted species. It is native to the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India. All of these belong to Southeast Asia.

That’s because the plant enjoys the weather there which is hot and humid pretty much all year round.

It also experiences plenty of sun even during winters, where there is no snow.

Hoyas need good lighting to bloom. As such, the plant thrives in these conditions.

Hoyas are tropical plants that are a member of the Apocynaceae family. They are sometimes called the wax plant, porcelain flower and wax flower.

These plants are best known for their uniquely stunning clusters (called umbels) of small flowers. The flowers bloom in many different colors. And you’ll see varying number of blooms per umbel based on the species.
